Hospital status - update March 2011 We are delighted to announce that following a rigorous, independent inspection by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), we have been reaccredited as a Small Animal Veterinary Hospital and an Equine Veterinary Hospital. This is the highest tier of accreditation that the RCVS award. Their description of veterinary hospitals is as follows: 'For Small Animal and Equine Veterinary Hospitals, the standards reflect the requirements of a General Practice allied with additional facilities and protocols for the investigation and treatment of more complex cases. A Veterinary Hospital must meet all Core Standards and General Practice Standards in addition to specific Hospital Standards' This is a voluntary scheme - not all practices are part of the accreditation scheme.
