Equine Surgery

We have an experienced team of surgeons, headed by Greg Quinn, a European registered specialist in equine surgery. He is currently the only ECVS specialist surgeon working in full time practice in the East Midlands. Greg has a broad range of clinical and surgical expertise, and has particular interests in lameness, ENT disorders, soft tissue surgery and minimally invasive surgery in which he has several publications. |

Modern surgical facilities include a large operating theatre with purpose built operating table and two anaesthetic induction / recovery boxes We can provide a full surgical referral service, including diagnostic and surgical arthroscopy and laparoscopy |

The theatre is equipped with a dedicated equine anaesthetic system with ventilator. Anesthetics are always monitored by one of our vets, and Simon Shone is currently studying for the RCVS certificate in anesthesia We also have indoor stocks for standing surgical procedures such as sinus surgery and standing laparoscopy |
